What These Features Mean in Practice
Large size, big presence: At 75″, this TV is ideal for large living rooms or dedicated home-theatre spaces. Be sure you have adequate viewing distance (typically ~3–4 m for 75″ 4K to appreciate it without seeing pixels).
4K resolution + QNED Colour: You get full UHD resolution, and the “QNED Colour” promise is about richer, more accurate colours than standard LED-LCDs. That’s good for movies, sports, bright rooms.
Native 60Hz refresh rate: One thing to note—this model is 60Hz native (not 120Hz) so for fast action scenes, sports, or high-end gaming the smoother motion of a 120Hz panel may be missed.
Gaming features: With ALLM and Game Optimizer, it’s ready for consoles and gaming, but the 60Hz panel means it won’t hit 120 fps—the benefit is more “console ready” than premium gaming.
Smart platform & remote: webOS 24 gives a modern smart TV OS with streaming apps, voice control, etc. Magic Remote adds ease of use.
Audio: 20W and 2.0 channels is modest given the size. For proper cinema sound, you might want to add a soundbar or a surround setup.
Connectivity: Good selection of ports. eARC support means better sound when connected to compatible sound systems.
Design & installation: Slim depth helps for wall‐mounting. But at 33kg (without stand) you’ll need a strong mounting bracket and wall that can support it (and a suitable VESA pattern: 400×300mm).
Room lighting: With edge backlit LED and depending on local conditions, this panel might struggle a bit with extreme HDR brightness or deep blacks compared to OLED or full-array local dimming sets—so in a very dark room you may notice that difference. (In fact, independent reviewers of the LG QNED80 series noted “low contrast ratio… not good in a dark room”.)
Advantages & 👎 Considerations
Advantages
Big screen size at a hopefully competitive price point for what you get.
Modern smart features, good connectivity.
Good colour reproduction thanks to QNED technologies.
Decent value for a large size, especially if you’re primarily watching movies, shows, sports.
The platform support (webOS24) means better future-proofing of smart features.
Considerations / Possible Disadvantages
Native 60Hz refresh: If you are a hard-core gamer with a high-fps console/PC (120Hz or more) you might find it limiting.
Edge-lit LED backlighting: Local dimming is less effective than full-array models, so black levels and contrast may be weaker in dark scenes, especially in a dim room.
Audio may be underwhelming relative to screen size—large screen often deserves larger sound system.
Viewing distance and space: For 75″ you’ll need ample room and good seating distance.
Power and mounting: Large size means heavier, larger space need, and higher shipping/installation cost maybe in Kenya.
