Product details
Display & panel: 4K Ultra HD (3,840 × 2,160) resolution on a 77″ OLED evo panel — meaning each pixel is self-lit, giving “perfect black” and very high contrast.
Brightness & glare handling: It uses LG’s “Brightness Booster” and is rated “Bright Room Ready” so it performs better than many OLEDs in well-lit rooms.
Gaming & motion performance:
Native 120 Hz refresh rate and supports up to 144 Hz with VRR (Variable Refresh Rate).
All 4 HDMI ports are HDMI 2.1, so supporting 4K @120/144Hz, eARC, VRR, ALLM, etc.
Very low response time (less than 0.1 ms) according to manufacturer specs.
Smart / connectivity:
Runs LG’s webOS 25 platform with built-in voice assistants and smart features.
Four HDMI 2.1 ports, 3 USBs, optical audio out, Ethernet LAN, WiFi 6E.
Cinematic features: Supports HDR formats like Dolby Vision, HDR10, HLG, and includes FILMMAKER Mode to preserve director intent.
Design & size: At 77″, this is a big screen — great for big living rooms or dedicated home-cinema spaces. The slim bezel and premium build feel upscale.
Considerations
Brightness ceiling: Although brightness is improved over previous generations, OLEDs still cannot always match the brightest LED/LCD TVs in extremely bright rooms or in full-screen HDR white scenes. Reviewers note “great HDR brightness” but also “not as bright when a full screen is bright.”
Cost & size: A 77″ model means you’ll need sufficient space and viewing distance (and budget) to get the full benefit.
Burn-in risk: While modern OLEDs have mitigation features, any OLED can theoretically face image retention if static images (like channel logos, HUDs) are displayed for very long periods. It’s not a major issue for typical use, but something to be aware of. (LG’s documentation mentions general guidelines)
Audio: While the built-in speakers are good, for a 77″ screen in a large room you may want to pair with a dedicated sound-system or soundbar for premium sound.
Wall-mounting / support: Due to the size and weight, proper wall mount or stand is important; with stand, it’s fairly heavy. For example, one spec shows 59.7 lbs with stand for the 77″.
